Industry Spotlight

My name is David Bleaman, and I live in Scottsdale, Arizona, with my wife and our two children. Sports cards have always been more than pieces of cardboard to me. They represent memories, connections and a hobby that has continued to draw me back throughout my life.

I began collecting baseball cards as a child. Although my involvement in the hobby came and went over the years, I eventually rediscovered my passion for collecting - this time with a focus on modern basketball cards. Basketball is a big part of our family's life, with a connection that now extends to the college court, so collecting basketball cards feels especially personal to me. I'm especially drawn to rookie and first-year cards of players I see as future faces of the NBA and WNBA - Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper, Sarah Strong, and Cooper Flagg, to name a few.

As I became immersed in the sports card world again, I gained a greater appreciation for the incredible amount of information, content and opportunity found throughout the industry. That appreciation inspired me to develop CARD INDUSTRY - a platform designed to bring the people, content, businesses and commerce of the sports card space together in one place, making the industry easier to discover, navigate and enjoy.

CARD INDUSTRY was built for everyone who shares a connection to sports cards, and your feedback is always welcome. If you have an idea or suggestion that could make the site more useful or enjoyable, please email me at david@cardindustry.com.
